Today we are going to take a look at the Electric Angel mod. We have really been enjoying this mod due to it’s really simplistic look, rock solid feel and construction, and pinky buttons. Hailing from Finland this mod will not only set you apart from your friends who are all puffing on Provaris but will also give you a very luxurious mod. This mod is fully mechanical meaning there is no circuitry or wires and it is composed of stainless steel and brass pieces. The size is really dependent on the configuration you have because it is telescoping, and it will fit anything from an 18350 with no kick all the way to an 18650 with a kick.
Physical Features of the mod: Pure stainless steel, brass button, venting on the bottom cap, and the top cap has a retractable center pin. As you tighten the mod the pin will screw in. The top cap is a 510 connection and has a drip well or catch cup, lots of venting for great airflow.
Pieces that make up the mod:
1. Bottom cap with venting and brass connection post.
2. Bottom collar with brass switch.
3. Large center telescoping if you want to use a kick.
4. Smaller center section if your not using a kick.
5. Top collar
6. Top cap with venting channels.
7. Brass Center pin.
Assembly
Seamless assembly especially if done with an 18650. When you first screw it together you might here a bit of rattling since it is quite a loose mod. The loose design helps prevent mis-threading which is great, however when you tighten the mod up the rattling will go away.
Vaping Session
What is great about the mod is the pinky button, which makes it easier for the person vaping. For example on a Provari mod you have to move your thumb down to the button while on the, EA mod your pinky just lands on the button. This is a very small detail but it is these little subtle features that help you choose one device over another. Press on the button is very firm which makes it a bit hard to press at certain angles.
With this device being all stainless and all brass, we should not have any loss of voltage when looking at the voltage of the battery compared to the voltage at the connection. We tested an AWMRI battery without it being in the mod at first then put it into the mod to test the total usage. The battery before usage gave us about 4.4 volts which is good for a fresh battery, after using the mod the battery dropped down to 4.17 volts. The device itself does not add any resistance and puts out the full amount of voltage you get from the battery. In simple terms this is really good for those of you trying to utilize your batteries to the fullest. This is a great vape pen.
Overall the manufacturing on this mod is really nice, everything is either brass or stainless steel, great venting, multiple battery configurations, and extremely kick-able, and does not pick up finger prints.
The only cons we really came across in this mod was the fact that the button was a bit too firm when pressing. Our Conclusion, this is one solid mod and gets our thumbs up!
